It was okay. The show didn’t end too soon, and didn’t end too late, and the finale tied up most of the loose ends. What the hell do people want? Oh, right, people WANT to complain.

I mean, we still have the GoT final season travesty to compare against. It was certainly better than that.

GoT had the best strategy for ending a show: Make it so bad nobody wants more and you can go on to make something new and original instead of doing the same thing forever. 😌
two spinoffs later
Man, I hated the last two and a half seasons of GoT. I couldn’t stay awake through a single episode of HotD, except for the one where shit actually happened. Didn’t even bother trying to watch the second season. I wanted to hate aKot7K (is that right?) but I just couldn’t. If I had never watched any of the previous series I would say it’s excellent. But because it’s tainted by the previous, I cannot hold it in high regard for some reason. Damn shame too, I like the show.

Two spin off shows made, two more in the pipeline and a movie…

Yeah no one wants more.

The same is true for The Walking Dead and that show was dead before the original was even halfway through airing.
I agree the TWD was a mess, but good lord it was and is hugely popular.

and you can go on to make something new and original instead of doing the same thing forever.

Lol this might be part of the joke/sarcasm but those guys butchered the ending so that they could go work on the (at the time) new Star Wars trilogy, which is almost an exact ripoff of the original trilogy.

My understanding is they ended up not working on it due to being silently fired by Disney.
Yep. It’s been a while, but it may have had to do with them tarnishing their names with that ending.
I think the Gen V kids were kinda shoehorned in, but I get the feeling that show was on its back foot from the moment Chance Perdomo passed away. I would have watched a third season, and I hope they get some passing mention in any modern day Boys spinoffs, but I could easily see Amazon letting those plot threads dangle.

What the hell do people want?

What the show’s marketing promised them.
