Dogs pretty much laugh the same way humans do.

Some dog breeds do understand humor and schadenfreude, resulting in a wide grin and something that kind of resembles giggles. I've seen it and it's both surprising and cute at the same time when it happens. It's infectious as well.

Dogs absolutely understand and enjoy simple, physical humor.

@erik It's just a generalised quote. I've been blessed with a couple of black labs both of whom had many ways of expressing their humour. Especially, my last lab, Jet, who would pinch my socks before I had a chance to pull them on and run off with them, fully expecting me to give chase and play with him. He passed away last year, and I miss his humour greatly!

Yes, dogs are special, aren't they? So much about how and who they are feels effortless and genuinely joyful. They stay in our hearts.
