You can ‘clash with police’ in a spontaneous march publicly addressed and headed up by a criminal if you are on the far right in this country…no reported arrests.

But hold a placard protesting against genocide and you’ll be arrested, man handled and held on remand and not even allowed to explain the motive of your so called crime at your trial, before being handed a stiff sentence.

There is two tier policing in the UK, but not in the way #Farage and Robinson think.

@JugglingWithEggs also if the officers in first picture have "HB" on their public order helmets, they are from TVP (Thames Valley Police) (the code for Hantspol is HC) which means that taxpayers have had to shell out extra for backup from the neighbouring constabulary (and officers are diverted from general policing duties in Reading and other similar areas, which aren't exactly crime-free)

@vfrmedia

Good spot. The kind of thing you would think a half awake journalist would see and comment on…but maybe not these days.

@JugglingWithEggs the journos who used to listen to radio scanners (even though it was technically illegal) and would recognise these codes have likely retired by now, or moved on to "fluff/lifestyle" reporting rather than hard news..
@JugglingWithEggs Fartage needs to be arrested and charged with being a hateful little nazi shit.
@JugglingWithEggs There's no tragedy Stephen Yaxley-Lennon won't exploit in the name of Fascism.
@JugglingWithEggs Notice that the right wing talking heads online do not bring this or the bans on left wing internet commentators who have spoken out about the genocide up when talking about the supposed death of free speech in the UK. You can silence people for having a social conscience, but punishing people for encouraging people to riot or even to murder migrants, that's oppression, that is.
@JugglingWithEggs It depends what it says on the placard. Palestine Action deliberately broke the law. A daft law but that's a different matter that should have been challenged within the law, while we still have them. Yes, the fascists should have been arrested but the police have a duty of care to their officers. They should be dragged out of their bunkers at dawn, Pritti Patel style, using video evidence.
@JugglingWithEggs I wonder if footage of this violent event with no arrests can be used as counter evidence to defend the oldies peacefully sitting around protesting for Palestine and being dragged away?
@JugglingWithEggs I believe that when faced with aggressive crowds the police SOP is to hold a line of riot shields, not to engage in a hand-to-hand melee. Meanwhile their colleagues are filming everything for later analysis and arrest warrants. That's how they dealt with the far right riots last time.
