#HobbyStreak day 1334:

Two scenarios in #RangersOfShadowDeep - first one with new level 0 characters versus 10 spectres and some, while wounded soldiers had to be escorted off the map. Brutal. My ranger and another stood back to back against the onslaught and killed almost allq of them.

Second was 'attack the tents' with our high level heroes. We fared significantly worse 😆 our tank went down, but all clues were picked up.

@erikcats Oooh how are you liking it? Rangers of Shadow Deep is one of those games I keep meaning to check out, but never find the time for

@eldavephoto absolutely worth it. We played with group 5 and on and off someone people will miss some games but generally it's a fucking laugh. The game can turn really easily because of the D20 system: a lucky chicken companion can fight off six evil cultists and live, yet a giant fly on a 20s rampage murder three heroes.

Another big plus (for us) is that as a group we can share some great terrain building projects. It's not for the faint of heart when it comes to scenery.

@erikcats Ugh, that sounds so good! It feels like it's a solid game in its own right, but also something you can pick up and play one off games too.

@eldavephoto it is. And you can play it solo to with a group (although you need to tweak the stats or numbers of enemies if you play over 4).

It's extremely low role play if you wish, but you can choose to dial that up pretty hard. And there's an immense amount of scenarios and adventures.
