Day 23: June 05: Strathy to John O’Groats: 43.3 miles: 1180.5 total.
Done.
Did it!
1180.5 miles

The last day we were expecting some long steep hills to climb. It looked to be hard work. And my muscles have a deep ache.
But strangely, nicely, it was like the last stage of the Tour de France.
Fierce 20-30 mph tail winds blew us up the hill with almost no effort.
The sun shone, wide blue skies, perfect clouds and the blue North Sea off to our left.
Champagne, while riding down the hill to the sign post, would have been nice, but we had to settle for a pint next to the crashing North Sea.

(Tomorrow: 16 miles to Wick, two days of trains back home, and not riding a bike for a few days)
Congratulations!
