What's the longest you've logged off the internet recently?

Maybe since getting your first smartphone or just having fast internet available at all times.

What was it like?

wow. this seems almost psychedelic. i mean, how do you do it? i have a 4-5 days with like super minimal use on vacation, but a month feels transformative, even if just temporary.

do you go somewhere special? like "at camp with no phone" or you just do it in your normal surroundings?

would be super interesting to hear about, but feel free to skip whatever feels private.

@lislegaard the short version is, every july i leave my permanent home for a vacation home that doesn't have internet. i still have my phone, but unless i get a dm i don't usually check it.

it works because it's natural, i don't put any rules on myself. this happens also in a place where i have a busier social life and most of my contacts still think that internet is not real life (poor wording but hopefully ykwim).

in hindsight lots of time i spend online is following cool distractions so...
