@dl4mat Thanks! I use two different knots in this situations. This is what in lingua franca called "piyan". Notnsure what is new name of it. The same knot sailors tie over the ends of larger ropes to keep them from frying. It is also same knot people used to hand their self with. Just loop buried under the wraps.

A friction knot called blake's hitch also handy if more holding power/control of slippage needed.
