Things that work very well with the #WillCycle app: - route recording - live sharing your location - browsing routes - setting up your bike & phone for recording route bumpiness - building new routes Things I need to resolve: - Navigation. Specifically, the zoom level of the map, voice cues, and
automagically switching the screen on when you get near a junction where you may need to turn. Also need to implement a feature so you can switch between different maps Map rotation works perfectly, and I'll be implementing offline maps, too.
Following an excellent suggestion (with code examples) by @[email protected], I'll also implement a feature that will allow you to see, on routes you recorded, where you stopped, and for how long. Additionally, I implemented support for my multi-day route guides, and if ever you purchased 1
it will show up under Touring Routes. Even better, if you used the Route Builder to build your own multi-day route, and marked it as such, it will also show up under Touring Routes. Why does that matter? Touring routes work differently, and allows you to break off the day's cycling anywhere, so
the following day you can simply pick up from where you stopped. It even has support for rest days, and is a much more sensible way of dealing with multi-day routes. For example, lots of people who do LEJOG create a GPX for each day's segment, and should anything interfere with that schedule, the
rest of their planning is thrown into disarray. With Touring Routes in the #WillCycle app, that issue goes away completely.
