A law enforcement document obtained by The Intercept shows police scan social media looking for posts opposing AI data centers.

This connects to data center developers routing around local control. In Hood County TX, counties lack zoning authority to block development. When communities can't contest 1GW+ campuses through normal political channels, the conflict escalates. The social license to build at this scale is eroding faster than the power supply can grow.

@durabilitycurve But what will Hood County do when people move away from the noise and pollution? That giant slab of concrete isn’t going to pay local taxes.
