Well, it’s day five of Pride, and today is dedicated to the letter Q. As I dug into it, I found two terms anchored by this letter: "Queer" and "Quare."

"Queer" is the general, reclaimed term many of us use. "Quare" is a term from Black LGBTQ+ scholarship that addresses the intersection of race and sexuality, highlighting unique struggles that mainstream white queer culture often overlooks.
