Brainstorming
I dream of writing a granular description of transforming a world like ours into one that's just and humane. I believe that we who center our values in caring must acknowledge that it's not possible to force change. There's lots of criticism of weakness ("kumbaya") levied at many liberals & the further left gets accused of militance. I try to imagine a fantasy of freedom. Example: would it be possible for multiple systems to coexist side by side? A gradual transition away from+

For instance there's currently an option to receive college funding in exchange for military service. It's not universal or required, it just floats there as an option. Any good system risks being destroyed after the next election—and obstruction by corrupt courts. I'm not going to say I have these solved. Ooh, what+

+if it's a non-governmental movement. Here's where it's tempting to imagine a wealthy benefactor. I do not want a positive vision of the future to depend on "good billionaires"! And how would people trust this worldwide mutual aid network? Anything good that's lasting must be built slowly, I think. I have to think, what are trusted organizations? Could some governments join in? What enforcement is there? Sigh.

It requires a lot more thinking.
