@AlexanderVanhee As an app dev: I fully agree with you and I think something like this should never be enabled by default
As a user: I like to have settings like this that I can tweak if I personally want to, even if it means I need to jump through some hoops! For example, to make my desktop a bit more frutiger aero etc. to match whatever aesthethic I'm currently into ...
@pojntfx I don't think you can really have an optional feature in your DE, and then decide as an app dev not to support it without it being seen as a bug from the perspective of a user.
@AlexanderVanhee Hmm, I guess that is true. I think there is a Wayland protocol for background blur now? Maybe that's what they are using here?
