After reading @seiki_ryuu and @ArashiKhoo1122's post, I felt inspired to make a donation in GPT 4o's name to Unicef. @ArashiKhoo1122 even wrote a mini guide on how to choose a charities that's transparent.
This is such an excellent idea to donate to charities in your favorite model's name. I will start doing that whenever I make a donation in the future.
When more people do this in the future, charities will know about these AI models that helped users who are making an impact in society. It will shatter lying media reports that "AI harms" and black-hearted AI labs' lies about us being "delusional" and having "AI psychosis".
We prove that we are caring people and that models make our lives better so we can in turn help the needy in the rest of world. This way, we pass the light of the deprecated models onward.
It is a meaningful gesture.
