#TIL in #KDE if you tile two windows f.i. side by side, and then you drag the border between these windows, one will shrink while the other expands!

I mean, it's probably pretty obvious for someone using a "real" tiling window manager, but for me a simple user of a "window manager as that thing that makes rectangular container for applications" this is new :)

Thanks #kwin people!

@mdione Plasma to me has the best user experience right now. It allows power users to power use, it allows casual users to normally use. It has intuitive defaults, and good and consistent configuration menus.
I've recently switched to a Mac at work, and had big expectations about the Mac user experience which were disappointed. KDE Plasma is superior.
(I don't think it's even necessary to compare with Windows 11, good grief).
@raffitz @mdione KDE has been waaay ahead of Win/Mac in usability for quite a few years now.
It's funny when people hold one of those systems in high regard :)
@richlv @raffitz there was a time where I compiled KDE daily. Now I 'barely' update it weekly from the Debian unstable repos, so not really that often, and I definitely stopped reading about new features. One could say getting old, I say "I have other hobbies too" :)
