@linmuroo the European only might be Monett, which is much less well developed ^^. This one is most like X - except the comment function is weird. I like the Tabs in Threads most, as the Reposts are separated from Posts

@beongoan Yeah I actually like thread, I don't even use Instagram or fb anymore. But It belong to meta.

@linmuroo it's most like a big chat platform for normal people, not celebrities/influencers (Insta) or politicians/businessmen (X). FB is simply huge. My whole Vietnamese network is on FB only :(

@linmuroo Actually I'm curious about you, as you are in Indonesia, you once said you have Jewish ancestor? And you're Chinese. That's a very rare mixture. I go home once a year at year end. The last time in Dec/Jan :)

@linmuroo well, must be my terrible memory, I'm forgetful and often mix memories wrongly. I must have remembered someone else. :( You're the second Indonesian I talk to. I used to live with a Christian Indonesian for 1 year as I was in Germany, we're still friend, on FB :)

I never put my photo for my safety. there are some muslims here that are just like white christian supremacy of America. Someone complained about how noisy a mosque was, next day she was arrested and jailed

@linmuroo I heard about the division between Indonesia and how complicated the situation there. Also the "supremacist attitude" in India. I'm a Vietnamese living in Switzerland and feel safe enough to not hide myself (if I'm not, I think noone will), although I don't use my real name online.

@beongoan yeah I try not to openly talk a lot about indo, it could be scary especially the nowaday president. he's temu rump.
last month someone criticized military, then he was doused with acid liquid in his face.

@linmuroo that's terrible :(. You know Vietnam is communist, there's also control and restriction, but not that... In my country Vietnam, after thousand years of war, we value stability most, so it's our priority when speaking and talking about Vietnam. It's not all rosy, but we're thankful we're in peace now and the country is developing.

Communist is better if the government still care for the people. Fake democracy countries everywhere, just like mine, is full of hypocrisy especially when religion is added.

@linmuroo When I move to Switzerland, I finally understand that the political system is the most important thing which contributes to people's wealth and safety, as Swiss people are not better, not more hard-working, not more skillful or intelligent than anyone else, compared to German, Austrian (i lived there), or Vietnam. I'm very disinterested in politics as I grew up in Vietnam, but now, I'm re-thinking

How people over there think about Palestine? I almost never hear anything about Switzerland, which is usually good.
