MayhamMondayToday is the start of my 8-month #Myhorrorfest2026 marathon which is broken into 2 categories of #CreatureFeatures & #Horror with May being dedicated to the newly titled #BadAliens marathon, these are the aliens that are here to fuck us up in 1 way or another! Again this year I am still boycotting Disney, Amazon & Netflix so whatever I can find on demand through my movie channels & off Tubi + what I have in my collection which I gutted the hell of last year for quality control reason is what I'm going to fill my time watching. Today's lineup started with some classics, on Tubi I watched the Thing from another planet 1951, on demand I found the Blob 1958 (sadly did not find the '80s version) & I have Invasion of the body snatchers 1978 (sadly also did not find the original).
I got bored today so I started next month's marathon a day early, June is dedicated to when #NatureAttacks #CreatureFeatures for #MyHorrorfest2026 I started with the Classics like King Kong 1933 then on demand I found It came from beneath the Sea 1955, Earth vs the spider 1958 & finally on Tubi Attack of the crab monster 1957 (talk about a serious case of the crabs). #KingKong #KongMovies #SeaCreatureMovies #OctopusMovies #TarantulaMovies #SpiderMovies #ClassicHorror

@ElwoodCity I don't know, how long has it been going on? I've been doing #MyHorrorfest for 10 to 15 years now & now it's 8 months long.
I don't know when it started, but it's been at least two years I think. It didn't fit well in my life, but I enjoy the crazy it adds to my feed
The weekly watch-a-bad-movie-together and toot about it often has horror and nature attacks vibes, and this week is right on theme for you June plans.

@ElwoodCity yeah I'm aware of what it is but I just haven't bothered watching any of the shows at the times they do it cuz I usually go to bed around when it starts. Most of the movies they do watch I've seen before & the 1s that I haven't I add to my marathon lists so when I do that particular marathon I go looking for those movies that I haven't seen before if they're still playing.
