BioChem PhDs are Unemployable

As a person that switched from Art Degree to Engineering work I understand the first freshman comment. But also Art Degree gets you into Video production, professional photography, movie set design, all poster/ promo / cover artwork for music or movie production. And so on. A person I know with their Art Degree works on frame rate and buffering technologies related to video streaming. Basically getting correct colour and quality through advanced codecs or something.
I have trained 16 PhD students in Biochemistry. They were all employed within months of defending, some before they finished.
A BS in biochem is the same as one in psychology… close to worthless without the PhD.
HR departments actually love hiring psych degrees if you don’t mind the class treason

Biochem major.

Joined the Navy.

Also graduated me: “well at least I can get a white collar job somewhere instead of being forced to work in the service industry like someone with an art degree”
Yeah, that’s why office drones are known for, having biochem degrees lol
