I was going to share the video of #RFKJr catching, then being bitten multiple times, by 2 #snakes on "Dr" Oz's patio, but came across this video from a year ago.

I think he has a death wish. It's one thing to be prepared for these sorts of emergencies, but there are tools for it. You don't pick up a rattlesnake, turn it over in your hands, gazing directly into its mouth, hands shaking uncontrollably, unless you believe you're invincible or hope to be bitten.

@PattyHanson

He's sick. Demented. A sadist but perhaps also a masochist if that's a thing? RFK Jr is really twisted. Which is why his being head of Health and Human services is a truly perverse choice. I'm really starting to buy into the "Trump is the anti-Christ" idea even though I'm an atheist personally.

@jawarajabbi I know what you mean. I saw the Oz video and thought it was crazy behavior, and those snake were nonvenomous. This one isn't even the only one. Just because a snake is nonvenomous doesn't mean its bites can't cause damage.

I think the jokes about brain damage are true.

@PattyHanson I hope he relied only on his own brand of medicine for the powerful venom of these local snakes who probably just wanted to be left alone.

Too bad the snakes could not spare all available venom, but that would make both hunting and defense difficult until it could be replaced. Rattlesnakes try to avoid running out of ammunition for obvious reasons. A dry bite won't stop a hungry bobcat, not for a minute.
