Change Your Desk Setup, Work Smarter

Your workspace affects how well you think and focus. A few small changes can cut down on mental clutter and help you stay locked in for longer stretches.

What to actually do:

Clear off your desk so only the things you need for today's main tasks remain. Takes about 5 minutes.

Screen about an arm's length away, just below eye level. Two minutes to adjust. (1/2)

Try working 90 minutes straight, then see how it compares to yesterday. Alternate sitting and standing as you go.

Stuff that helps: Block distracting sites when you need to focus. Reset your desk once a week so things don't pile up.
