Here's my fourth conccurent painting project : a #1490Doom warband using #VaeVictis miniatures.

I'm going with a somewhat limited colour palette : black, white, Dark Rust (?), Dirty Grey, Yellow, Royal Blue and Terracotta. I'm planning on doing non-metallic metals, and having the red areas being the darkest colour, with the rest being lighter and more muted.

Progress… The basecoats are almost done, and I'm starting to shade and highlight them.

I've now started the highlights. Things are getting interesting !

Current work in progress ! Hughlights are mostly done, basic object source lighting too (although it needs further highlights). The big remaining things is non-metallic metal !

The minis are painted, and only the bases remain ! I've improved my non-metallic metal from my past attempts, paying attention to having lots of contrast. My object source lighting isn't the greatest, but it was good practise !

My #1490Doom company is done ! I've had a game with Laurent (bottom left) last weekend, and he managed to get to the top of the tower !

Apart from him (conversion based on The Damned Heavy Infantry by Wargames Atlantic), all the models are from #VaeVictis and printed by @coopenotte (Trashfire Studio).

It was challenging to paint them, with only three colours plus black and white, and I've tried some non-metallic metals and object-source lighting, but I'm happy with the results !
