Most people can't even imagine cities with space for people, kids roaming freely, affordable housing, economic prosperity, clean air, green space and bird habitat. They just want to know where they can park car for free. Simply removing excess car lanes and pricing car use appropriately solves so many problems, it's hard not to be against cars. It's like if being against raw sewage in the street does not have a clear "win state"?

Maybe this is supply-side economics: there is an infinite supply of driving to meet what your city's streets demand. #inducedDemand
@enobacon Back in the Usenet days, there was a group called "pave.the.earth". When I stumbled across it, I thought it was hilarious. I see now that there is a Google Group of the same name, as well as a subreddit. It's been 42 years, I no longer find it funny.
