@geraineon I’m many decades behind at this point, and I mostly liked the Belgian ones like Herge etc. Some which must be read with “these are old” in mind.

I’m particularly fond of Spirou and Gaston (they are in the same universe, Spirou being a reporter and Gaston a lazy handyman at the office of the publication. They have their own comics but there’s an overlap).

There’s a district European style, but I think comic strips and such are far more common.

So my recommendation is more check one out if you run into it, than anything specific.

(A 110% random recommendation, since it’s not European, but I love Bone by Jeff Smith. He’s got such a lovely style which is very distinct from all the superhero stuff or Japanese manga (even if that’s a crazy amount of styles in practice).)
