btw if you want to get started in model trains and find its too fucking expensive: yes it is.

my advice would be to just checkout kato N scale pocket line range, buy a set and an oval. can get away with it for under 80€. plus the models are cute and run well!

I know this because I have 3 pocket line models from kato and they all run perfect. also kato finally did the sensible thing other manufacturers just dont get: just plug a usb-c in there and stop using batteries. I just hope the electronics are okay (having seen kato electronic designs, I have my doubts)

btw. never EVER buy models from UK manufacturers. they look great, sure, but all their mechanical engineering is SHIT. dapol, hornby, jouef, lima -> forget about it

Sorry, but you don't. Märklin is known for H0 and Z. But they don't do N.
Trix, a Märklin brand, has MiniTrix, which is N scale.
