I use to order 4 copies. One for me and three for my beta readers to go through with red pen to mark mistakes.
I was blessed with amazing beta readers that were fast to return it, accurate in proofreading, and blunt about editing.

It really is a good process. Because no matter how many times I would go through it, there was always wee words missing. The 'is, so, n't' etc that my brain just automatically filled in. And awkward sentence structure that seems fine to me, others just didn't think they worked. Lots of frustration and fun! 🍀
