The FSF is right about RAIL licenses, but they're going to spend the next decade being right about it while every major AI lab ships anyway. The interesting fight is whether "responsible AI" licensing frameworks get adopted into procurement requirements and funding conditions. that's where nonfree becomes structurally mandatory rather than just ethically objectionable.
