I was thinking out loud the other day; and realized the prompts they would give the holodeck on #TNG are all more or less very much #GenerativeAI chatbot prompts.

Which kind of makes sense. Writing wise the writers needed it to create a lot with little input from the crew AND so the tech was always going to seem "generative" as we know the term today.

BUT then I was realizing that it wouldn't take a whole lot of mental gymnastics to reframe the Doctor Leah Brahms / Geordi arc on #TheNextGeneration as a kind of morality play on Generative #AI hallucinations and or AI psychosis. #StarTrek #StarTrekTNG #GenAI

NOTE: Just commenting on an interesting intersection between fiction and reality here. I fucking hate Generative AI.
