Kennedy accused three of the top medical journals-The New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and The Lancet-of being "corrupt" and publishing studies funded and approved by Big Pharma.

"Unless those journals change dramatically, we are going to stop NIH scientists from publishing in them, and we're going to create our own journals in-house," said Kennedy Jr., whose remarks came after the Justice Department sent threatening letters to both The New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association implying they were partisan.
