Just wondering what will happens in 10+ years when people who still know how to run serious on-prem infrastructure are gone.

Who you gonna call when things break badly at 2am?

Aren't we just trading operational knowledge for conenience?

@david_senate I feel like this toot could have been two or three consecutive tweets around 2009.

We had this whole discussion around the first big shift to cloud (i.e. AWS), and IMHO the answer is going to be "your admin" for the forseeable future.
