After Spouse sent an email to Nothing Technology's customer "service" asking if there was any way to talk to a human (after a bunch of back & forths with a bot), he got a response, from a character named "Claude Britania". I do not believe that's a real person, but the email contained a phone number.

He's going to call it today & we'll find out if it actually is a number that connects to someone at Nothing or whether the bot just made up a phone number to "satisfy" the customer.

#NothingPhone

Gotta be honest, I will be *shocked* if that number gets him connected to a real person at the correct company.

I'm pretty convinced this is just a chatbot "trying" to make someone happy by making something up.

@artemis It could also be that it's a real person but a fake name (if it's one of those companies that cares about the privacy of its employees, which seems unlikely).

Claude Britania. :D

@artemis Well, a call center I worked for a decade ago had German speakers of Indian descent. Because racists complained so much about their 'foreign accents' (they actually had a thicker Berlin drawl than me), management renamed them.

To this day, I get a hoot phoning my pal Raj and asking for Herbert German.

@artemis Claude Britannia rules! (The waves?)
