Scotland must have the right to choose our own future.

@ScottishGreens Scexit when?

@disorderlyf @ScottishGreens (semi-off topic)
(preface to say that I'm all for Scots determining what to do with their own collective future; and I'm strongly of the opinion that Brexit is the pile of hot garbage that everyone said it was going to be)

"Scexit" sounds like the kind of sex act you would need a room full of easily cleanable surfaces for.

@Gorfram @ScottishGreens I use an absurd term because the fact that things with UK politics has gotten to the point where Scotland, Northern Ireland, maybe even Wales, are probably better off leaving the UK is primarily due to absurdity coming out of Westminster
@disorderlyf @ScottishGreens
Sorry. Should have made much clearer that I think "Scexit" is a delightfully absurd & and very scexy word. 😜
@disorderlyf @Gorfram @ScottishGreens
Would the Divided Kingdom then join the EU? And London would essentially be a tax haven?

@martin_ueding @Gorfram @ScottishGreens I mean, from what I've heard about Ireland, you can be a tax haven and be part of the EU, so I'm not sure why London is guaranteed to be one in this scenario..

I suspect they may want to do so themselves, but I don't want to speak for a people I am not part of for what to do post-split. Rather, with any matter of sovereignty, I defer to what the people who actually live there want unless it's an objectively harmful thing like a country that doesn't even comprise an entire island acting more and more isolationist without actually adapting their industrial output to be self-sufficient.
