Matthew SetterI get that of all tech writing file formats Markdown is the most popular. But, that doesn't make it the best choice.
There are so many ways in which it could just be, well, better.

@tvbeek AsciiDoc! I really love that format. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ There are so many reasons why it's my favourite. It's made for writers, has a formal extension process, has a formal specification, is easy to migrate to from Markdown, tables are easier, lists are easier, most everything is easier.
@settermjd thanks for your answer, I will take a look. Personally I never used anything else then markdown but I'm open to learn new tools.
