So I know about #MerMay, and I know all about the October daily drawing challenges like #Inktober and #Arttrober and so forth...

But are there any other regular art prompts / themes that I should know about?

Just thinking ahead to June and beyond. It would be nice to have some more art prompts across the year to look forward to—particularly ones other artists in the Fediverse like to participate in.

@Pixalisk Oh yeah—I do remember seeing the odd reference to that in the past. Could be fun, though maybe a little too much work to participate in properly.

@ravanon For June e.g. KaiJUNE exists for example. In November there's Huevember in November --- otherwise there are also some more "suggestive" month themes or IP bound ones, if you are also ok with knowing about them.

KaiJUNE seems fun, though I'm not up to any daily challenges for more than one month a year (even doing October is slightly insane). Maybe I'll draw one or two kaijuu that month.

Huevember is interesting, but too close to October.

I'm probably not up for 'suggestive' themes, though I admit you've piqued my curiosity.

I usually do characters from games/anime/comics in October (the #Arttrober list), so IP-bound isn't off the table, but maybe not what I'm looking for here.

@tenkoman I also have to admit that I had a minute of 'computer science' brain, and was wondering how you could have an art prompt that was restricted to only certain Internet Protocol addresses.

@ravanon In terms of IPs - February is the Pokémon Month up to the birthday, while July is the Digimon Month up to the 1st of August (a key date in the franchise)

Julycanthropy is what I remember for July.
August has/had Smaugust for dragons.
