Joel, may I ask if these portrait are based on men you've met or known? They're intimate and each shows male bravado and/or vulnerability.
Lately I've been exploring the archives of photographs from the 30's and 40's Farm Security Administration, @TheEddieShow. Trying to find subsections that are particularly evocative to me. For some reason the humanity of these men, likely long gone, are meaningful and touching.
