Part of Australia is having a diphtheria outbreak, and the BBC is reporting the first death.

From what I can tell, the outbreak is concentrated among the Indigenous population. What I can't tell from the BBC article is whether that's because of limited health services, people declining/not trusting vaccines, or what. I'd love to get more info from people closer to it.
