#QuantumMechanics deals with the smallest particles - atoms, electrons and photons - and describes their behaviour mathematically. Unlike classical physics, it allows for phenomena that resist everyday intuition: an atom, for instance, can exist in two different places at the same time. โ
We cannot easily imagine this microscopic world - not because we lack intelligence, but because it is fundamentally beyond intuitive human experience.
But what happens when #QuantumProcesses are not only calculated, but approached through perception, sound, space and artistic experience?
In our next #WissenschaftOnline session, science meets art: quantum expert Prof. Tommaso Calarco, Director of the Institute of Quantum Control, joins the artist duo Evelina Domnitch & Dmitry Gelfand.
Together, they will explore the boundaries between cutting-edge #QuantumResearch and installation art - from hydrodynamic quantum analogues to performances that make physical phenomena unfold as live, sensory experiences.
