@Tak Well yes, useful software becomes part of infrastructure and needs to be maintained.

But then I also believe in #PublicMoneyPublicCode, if we don't want to be at the mercy of VCs then our software and hardware needs to be open and we need to consider #FossSustainability.

So I am totally onboard with the need to put our software into public ownership.

Although to be fair I am biased.

@onepict oh yeah, I also believe that all public software should be Free (ideally all software, but baby steps), but imo these are orthogonal issues
