26th May

I was in a dream
And now I am awake
My yellow tree is humming
With the music of the bees
And the skylarks song
Is mighty on the moor
The Cuckoo doesn’t care
Whose clothes her treasures wear
And yellow are the roses
By my door
The shining lapwing
Hides her glories
In the golden of the furze
These treasures, safe as houses
Mine and hers
And it’s time to count our blessings
One by one.
