Hey, #bookstodon - I just started using Pagebound (which I dig), and used to use Goodreads (which I don't dig). However, in between, I tracked my books, mostly, in my PKM, which makes them hard to import.

There are a handful that didn't get tracked anywhere, so, like, did I even read them?

What I'm looking for is an app or a product that runs locally, but still has *some* book tracking features. I'd like to own my data but also want some of the bells and whistles (book covers, etc.)

I know about Jelu - are there any others?

@TimmyMac While it's not something that runs in a homelab, I've been using #Bookmory for some time on my phone. Everything stays on my device, it keeps track of what I've read or want to read, can import or export my data. It's easy to add new books, I think I've only had one that I've needed to enter manually.

@swrogers Hmmm, that's interesting. I hadn't considered a mobile app-only solution, but it does check the "own your data" box. I might take it for a spin.

What I really want is something I can run locally, and then push updates to whatever other social book services I might use. #POSSE and all that.

@swrogers been kicking the tires on Bookmory. You're right - this is a great app. Really elegant and fun to use. I'm also playing with Pagebound, which is almost the exact opposite in terms of the social aspect. It's making me really figure out what I want.

@TimmyMac glad that I could help!

I also decided to check out Pagebound too, but I'm not much for the social aspect of book reading. I'm solitary that way. I do think it's solid though for what it provides.
