If this is old news, I’m sorry and everyone can make fun of me but I finally figured out how to follow Threads accounts with Fediverse sharing enabled in #tapestryApp.

You go through the process as if you are trying to do an unauthenticated follow of a single Mastodon user but you put their full Threads username in the username field, while leaving mastodon.social as the instance.
