Anyone running #MacOS26.5 and #PlexAmp? If so is yours running really slow? 10 sec ish after you click anything is what I’m running into, also on launch. #Apple #Plex
@fistfulofdave I just downloaded it now (normally use main app on Mac), but seems to work fine. Arm or Intel?
@gavin57 ARM. PowerBook M1 Max

@fistfulofdave Yeah same. They give you a choice on the download page, so probably worth checking you don’t have the Intel one through Rosetta.

Also, there was a server update released earlier, but couldn’t install it —invalid signature.

@gavin57 funny as I thought that the last server was the problem. I’ll try the ARM version. Thanks.
@gavin57 that was it! Funny every OS update I’d get “this app will not be supported in a future version of MacOS”. Just figured I’d eventually get the updated version in the auto-updates.
@fistfulofdave I had hoped they’d release a universal app with both binaries, but no. Rosetta apps seemed fine when moving from Intel chips, but they are noticeably slower than ARM versions.
@gavin57 weird as the Plex app is universal. Also they don’t list Plex Dash for MacOS on the website but it’s still in the App Store. Ahh, PlexAmp is also now in the App Store too, not mentioned on the site either.
@fistfulofdave @gavin57 My problem with Plex and other such apps is that they simply won't use *existing* code bases to make their products bit-perfect. Plus, I found Plex Amp hard to navigate...

@wendigo @gavin57 Plexamp is by far my favorite music playing app.

I want a system that I don’t need to log into a sever to use. Eons ago I used Stream to Me and Serve to Me. No external server just streamed from my computer. I’d love this but with modern features.

@fistfulofdave @gavin57 I know, and I'll die trying to convince you otherwise... ;>)
@fistfulofdave you’ll be wanting to upgrade to the all new Plex Pro Plus Pass for increased speed and functionality. $749, please!
@fistfulofdave thanks for using Plexamp!
