Uzi BobuziThere are times when Praxis is sitting on my hand, beak to face, and he'll look up at me with his tiny little eye and make full eye contact. He'll cock his head and meet my gaze steadily and then give little blinks that mean love. I feel so seen by someone that isn't another human being.
That humans are so blinded by #HumanSupremacy that we insist on looking for intelligent life "out there" when we have it right here on our planet breaks my heart sometimes. What people really mean by that is that they want something that resembles ourselves, rather than celebrating the multitudinous ways life is intelligent in ways not resembling ours at all.
Humans are so self-blinded and full of hubris.
