"High functioning" is just "suffering in a way that is convenient for neuroytpical society"
@dracokitty
Being praised is soooo fucking telling
Ive never gotten praised for having the right kind of headache
Never gotten a pat on the back for having high functioning flu
(Simplified examples i am not actually saying autism is just a "disease" or "illness". But it is how its treated by most)
I swear I have more autistic friends than not lately and I love all of them. It takes learning their way of communicating. But that both people being "high" functioning together. Not just them having to conform to me.
