I discovered GRAMPS as a Flatpak application a few weeks ago. I exported my family tree from Ancestry.com, and imported it successfully into GRAMPS. So far things are going pretty well.

If you're into genealogy, it may be an interesting open source project to try out. Their wiki site is really informative and helpful.

@adventure_tense I started my geneology software usage with Gramps a year or two ago. So far, I've only done a little. I wanted an open source sw and store the data locally. I use the deb-package available in my repository. So I have no experience of any other sw and I do not see I will switch to any other. Maybe export selected parts if I want to share/explore what other have done.
