Ah sure, you're an ex-pat, not an immigrant. But it's not that long ago that signs on lodging places in England would read:

No blacks
No Irish
No dogs

So solidarity among "us" is vital. You need to work out who "we" are, and who "they" are.

And sure as hell, "they" are ACT, National, NZ First, Taxpayer's Union, Free Speech Union and all their associates.
