Somebody's enjoying the sudden summer-like weather on what's a holiday Monday for some folks. And cats. And probably dogs. But also cats.

@giflian See the skinny black posts in the background? That's the cat fence. What disappears in the photo is the heavy-duty deer fence that mostly makes up the fencing along with the 2-foot tall perimeter of welded wire that gets a couple of inches bent into a 90-degree angle at the bottom, allowing the grass to anchor it (plus the posts are inserted into steel sleeves that get driven into the ground).
In the first two photos you can see a corner of the main gate at the top left; in the third photo you get a better look at it.
The fence is why I sometimes talk about "the compound." He has a good-sized cat yard to hang out in, as wide as the back of the house, reaching to the garden shed and studio on the sides.
That may be too much info for the question 😆
@StaceyCornelius ah, I see it now. I have a bit of tunnel vision with cat photos, which will surprise nobody.
I was worried you might think it was a judging question. More I was thinking it sucks I can't give my cats any outdoors. If my building didn't have facade rules I'd set up the balcony as a catio but alas
@giflian Not at all. If it wasn’t for the fence he’d be an indoor cat. His mama slipped outside when the dogs went to pee one night not long after the cats arrived, which is what prompted the fence. I had no idea cat fences existed before that.
Bummer that you can’t have a catio.
@giflian @StaceyCornelius I am super interested to know if they liked it or not.
