What are your thoughts about a Lemmygrad Minecraft server? - Lemmygrad

So, i was thinking about setting up a Minecraft server for the lemmygrad community, and i wanted to know, you think its a good idea? would you join? and if you would, what kind of server would you like? I think it would be great for the community to have a 3rd space like that, but i dont even know if any of you even play Minecraft.

If you mean you dont have an official minecraft account, it dosnt matter, i dont have one either. When setting up a server i can set it up to allow unnoficial users.

there are not much gamers here so it might be a bit empty but i think hexbear does have some servers and they’re close to this instance.

I think Hexbear had a server but not anymore. In any case, how about a Luanti server instead of Minecraft? Because it’s important to support free software and all, and Luanti as FOSS might be more accessible to people than Minecraft is.

I tried Luanti a few years ago and it wasnt really fun. Although i would have loved for it to be.

I never planned to buy Minecraft as there are really good free launchers.

We used to have one didn’t we? I played on it a bit but I hadn’t played in years and had no clue what a warden was and had taken over everywhere Diamonds spawn and after 3 deaths I rage quit.

I concur with the people wanting to play Luanti! The fact that it is free also helps out for comrades here that cannot afford to spend money on that game.

I think its because they actively, or at least passively support pedophiles in their platform. I am not entirely informed about it tho.

I havnt bought minecraft and i dont plan to, and i also oppose others buying. I recommend cracking it which is really easy.

Do you think that goes in line with the boycott, or do you think we should avoid engaging with it in any shape, way or form?

I can’t speak to the views of others, but I suppose that I personally don’t see the harm so long as the player doesn’t give microsoft the money. I kind of assumed that you needed a legit copy of the game to be able to play online, but I don’t actually know anything about pirating it either.

you can host a cracked server, tho skins won’t show but i think it’s fixable

I’d be interested in some kind of socialist gaming collaboration, doesn’t have to be Minecraft but I don’t mind if it is.
