I guess this proves that at least a significant portion of changes like this occur due to brain damage caused by SARS-COV-2?

@nazokiyoubinbou @DenisCOVIDinfoguy having read up on this previously, the theory is that the nerves in the nasal lining are damaged so the pathways for smell lose association. Retraining them using known smells can rebuild them.
