@adamsdesk I always found these imposed directories pre-re-created for me annoying. Thanks for sharing an article how to map them to one's own.

@adamsdesk having a Projects is fine and all. And a Screenshots? I think Cosmic is pushing for that.

fwiw though, as an old hand I prefer a much simpler organization. It would be nice if apps (esp file managers) actually respected XDG updates. Instead they want to show Documents etc. And a screenshot goes to Pictures no matter what XDG is set.

Even fewer respect enabled=False, but perhaps that's too much to hope.

@buckfiftyseven Yeah the apps have to make the choice to follow the XDG spec otherwise it doesn't help much. It's tough. I just want to see freedom of choice. If the project doesn't support XDG then allow the user to set the directories to use.
