There probably should be a fee on vehicles for road maintenance but it shouldn't be by type of fuel, it should be based on vehicle weight.

Heavier vehicles do more damage to roads than lighter vehicles.

As beautiful as it is in its simplicity, equally sad that highly unlikely to be implemented. Paying your fair share sounds nice until all the SUV and emotional support truck drivers realize how much they are being subsidized currently.

It'd be nice for there to be some kind of pressure against steadily increasing truck bloat.
