The contrast between the number of media requests I got when rich people on a cruise were facing a deadly, but contained outbreak versus now that some of the poorest people in the world are facing a deadly and devastating epidemic is just so so stark and it just really annoys the hell out of me.

Sounds like the contrast beetwen people being outraged about initial COVID restrictions vs people being outraged that western countries, in particular Germany, not only refused to free open source the vaccines but even stockpiled them instead of supporting the *shit hole* countries.

These countries just realized that given the amount of world population a life style as their own for everyone is not sustainable, so they decided to reduce world population "by al means necesarry".

You (actally we) might need to start to wonder how to convert that anoyance into energy and where to apply it best.

@jesuisatire @kakape The first Trump administration's response *in the US* was based on an expectation that blue states would suffer more. They didn't care at all how many died in their own country never mind the total indifference to other countries. The abolition of USAID and the extortion of minerals that has followed now is more of the same.
